Andrei Popescu-Belis is a professor at HEIG-VD, with research interests in natural language processing, machine translation, and interactive systems. He has been a leader or participant in several EU and Swiss projects in these fields, and is the author or more than 150 peer-reviewed papers. A graduate of the French École Polytechnique, he holds a PhD in computer science from the Paris-Sud University. He has been a researcher at UCSD and the U. of Geneva, and a group leader at the Idiap Research Institute, Martigny.
