Sport and science have always been part of my life, and have shaped my lifestyle as well as my career path. After my high school years in France, I was given the opportunity to join the ‘top-10’ tennis team of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where I graduated 3 years later with a BS in Natural Sciences. Then I decided to join Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, to pursue a mechanical engineering degree. My passions for sports and engineering really came together during my PhD, sponsored by Dunlop-Slazenger, at Loughborough University in England, where I developed numerical modelling skills to simulate tennis ball impacts. I graduated in 2011 and came back to France to develop the footwear modelling activity at Decathlon SportsLab. These 5 years spent doing research on footwear got me an award at the Footwear Biomechanics Symposium for the publication of a walking gait simulation model, as well as a growing interest for outdoor sports practice. I joined Salomon in Annecy in 2016 to create footwear simulation tools for 4 years.
I joined DAES, a swiss engineering and consulting company specialized in numerical simulation for industry and research, 2 years ago as the Sports Performance Simulation Leader. I am now extending my footwear simulation expertise to other fields requiring a deep understanding of the interactions between sports products, the human body, and human perception, and supporting clients in building their digital chain to accelerate their time to market.
